I made a little "movie" of Chickenfoot's legendary visit to the Cabo Wabo on October 10, 2009. I tried to capture the excitement of the show and also what we, the dedicated fans of "The Foot", will do to see the band! The "movie" starts out at about four in the morning on the streets of Cabo in front of the Cantina, everyone trying to sleep while waiting in line for tickets to the show that were passed out the next morning. The next clip takes us to the next morning on that same street as the sun was rising over the Cantina lighthouse. Then we cut to Emeril's unforgettable introduction of the band as the boys make their way down to the stage to a welcoming crowd of crazed and enthusiastic fans. Then of course we have the band's incredible performance of "Oh Yeah"!! I have been going to the Birthday Bash every year since 2005 and this year was the best Bash yet! Chickenfoot's surprise appearance just put everything over the top! One of the coolest things about this video is that it was shot using my new FlipVideo video camera that my girlfriend gave to me as a surprise gift right before I left for Cabo for the Bash. It was a gift to congratulate me for having successfully quit smoking 6 months ago! She even had the video camera custom made with photos of the Cantina on the front of the camera that I had taken during previous trips to Cabo! So, bottom line is that if I win this contest, the grand prize will be a direct result of my having quit smoking! How cool is that?!? Of course, not to mention that I do play guitar and have been learning some Chickenfoot songs recently (on my Yamaha AES620SH Cabo Wabo guitar)!
